Warren Huff, President and CEO of Reata
Mr. Huff was the Chief Executive Officer of Ergo Science Corporation, a
biopharmaceutical company based in Boston, Massachusetts that developed
neurotransmitter-modulating drugs for the treatment of type II diabetes and obesity. Mr.
Huff joined Ergo as its first business executive and, under his leadership, Ergo
progressed from seed capital to initial public offering in 39 months. Mr. Huff received
a B.B.A. magna cum laude from the University of Texas at Austin and a J.D. from Southern
Methodist University.

James Bass, Ojai Goliad LLC
Mr. Bass is a Co-founder and Principal of Ojai Goliad, LLC. Mr. Bass was previously an
executive director of an Asian regional investment bank based in Hong Kong. Prior to
that he was an attorney over a nine year period with Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP in
both California and Hong Kong and served as a managing partner of the firm's Hong Kong
office in the mid 1990s. Mr. Bass graduated with a B.A. degree from Yale University and
obtained his J.D. degree from Stanford University.

R. Kent McGaughy, Jr., CPMG, Inc.
Mr. McGaughy is a partner in CPMG, Inc. Prior to joining CPMG's predecessor, Cardinal
Investment Company in 1997, Mr. McGaughy worked in mergers and acquisitions at Simmons
& Company International. Mr. McGaughy currently serves on the board of Genitope
Corporation; he also serves on the boards of several private companies, including Reata
Pharmaceuticals. He received his B.A. from The University of Texas (summa cum laude
and member of Phi Beta Kappa) and his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Jack B. Nielsen, Novo Ventures
Mr. Nielsen is a Partner with Novo Ventures, a life science investment organization
associated with Novo Nordisk. In this capacity, he is currently or has in the past been
on board of directors of Panacos Pharmaceuticals, Cell Biosciences, NeoMend, Mediquest,
CardioOptics, Inc. and Protein Forest. Prior to joining the venture organization, Mr.
Nielsen held various management positions within Novo Nordisk. He received his MSc
from the Technical University of Denmark and his Masters in Management of Technology
from the Center for Technology, Economics, and Management.

Edward W. "Rusty" Rose, Cardinal Investment Company, Inc.
Mr. Rose founded Cardinal Investment Company, Inc. in 1973; he serves as the firm's
President, and as a partner in CPMG, Inc. Mr. Rose is Chairman of the Board of Drew
Industries, Inc., and he serves on the boards of several private companies, including
Reata Pharmaceuticals. Mr. Rose is the former Co-managing Partner of the Texas
Rangers. He received his B.S. from The University of Texas and his M.B.A. from Harvard
Business School.

Charles A. Sanders, M.D., Pharmaceutical Industry Executive and Board Member
Dr. Sanders is the former chairman and CEO of Glaxo Inc., as well as a former member of
the board of Glaxo plc. Before joining Glaxo Inc., Dr. Sanders spent eight years with
Squibb Corp. where he held a number of posts including the position of vice chairman. He
also served as chief executive officer of the science and technology group and chairman
of the science and technology committee of Squibb's Board. Prior to this, Dr. Sanders
was general director of Massachusetts General Hospital and professor of medicine at
Harvard Medical School. A native of Dallas, he is a graduate of Southwestern Medical
College of the University of Texas. Dr. Sanders is past chairman of the New York Academy
of Sciences, past chairman of The Commonwealth Fund, and past chairman of the Overseers
Committee to Visit the Harvard Medical School. He is currently a member of the Institute
of Medicine of the National Academy of Sciences, a member of the CSIS Board of Trustees,
chairman of Project HOPE, and chairman of the Foundation for the National Institutes of
Health. In addition, he serves on the boards of Genentech, Vertex Pharmaceuticals,
BioPure, Trimeris, Cephalon, and Fisher Scientific International. In the past Dr.
Sanders has served on the boards of several multi-national corporations, including
Merrill Lynch and Company, Morton International Inc, and Reynolds Metals Company.

Dennis Stone, M.D., The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas
University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas
Dr. Stone is the Vice President for Technology Development at UT Southwestern. In
addition to his role in this office, he is also a professor of internal medicine,
physiology and biochemistry and holder of the NCH Corporation Chair in Molecular
Transport. Dr. Stone received his undergraduate education in the Plan II Program at The
University of Texas at Austin. After completion of medical school at UT Southwestern, he
received his housestaff training in internal medicine at Columbia Presbyterian Medical
Center in New York City. Subsequently, he completed clinical and research fellowship
training in Nephrology at UT Southwestern and Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. He has
been the recipient of a Searle Scholarship, named an Established Investigator of the
American Heart Association, and is a member of the American Society for Clinical
Investigation and the Association of American Physicians.
