Program Overview
Reata is currently recruiting for its Biopharmaceutical Leadership Development Program at the company’s Irving, Texas headquarters. This two-year program is designed to provide recent graduates with the opportunity to gain exposure to various functions that are critical to the success of the organization, as well as to develop and groom future leaders with a broad understanding of the biotechnology and pharmaceutical business. Throughout the course of the program, individuals will be able to regularly interact with members of the senior management team, as well as be provided with informal training and networking opportunities within the company.
High-performing individuals will have the opportunity to accept full-time positions at Reata following successful completion of the program, at which point the company will actively support the recruits’ career development and advancement, potentially including support for an advanced degree (for example, M.B.A.) for outstanding candidates.
Program Structure
Candidates will spend their first year rotating through four-month assignments in each of the following areas:
.Clinical Operations and Medical Affairs
.Research and Product Development
.Business Development and Corporate Strategy
The sequence of the three rotations and assigned departments within each of the above areas will be based on business needs and priorities. Assigned projects during each rotation will be dependent on educational background and prior experience and will cater to the skills and interests of each candidate.
Following the first-year rotations, candidates will be able to select a field of interest to pursue during the second year of the program. All participants will be required to summarize and present project outcomes in a formal setting upon completion of each rotation, as well as following the second year of the program.
Preferred Qualifications
Recent college graduate (bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, master’s, or Ph.D. degree level acceptable); business-related courses a plus

.Demonstrated leadership experience and potential
.Strong analytical and research skills
.Superior oral and written communication skills
.Positive approach and attitude
